Bucky Barnes

Bucky Barnes - good choice! :)

1. how I feel about this character
Oh, Bucky, he's been through so much. He was such a good guy and such awful things happened to him/were done to him. I just think he's so lovable in CA:TFA, so kickass in CA:TWS, and his whole journey gives me all the feels!

2. all the people I ship romantically and/or sexually with this character
Natasha, all the way! As soon as I found out about their relationship in the comics, I wanted it so badly for the MCU versions, and yet! *sigh* I have read a couple of decent Bucky/Darcy fics too, and I absolutely get why folks ship Bucky/Steve, but for me it's all about the WinterWidow.

3. favourite gen relationship(s) for this character
Bucky & Steve = so good. They're best friends, pretty much brothers, and I just love that. Also, I love the idea that Bucky & Shuri got to be really good friends whilst he was in Wakanda and she was helping him with the whole deprogramming thing. I know some people ship them and I don't hate that, but buddies works better for them for me.

4. my unpopular opinion about this character
Hmm, I'm not sure that I have one.

5. one thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon
Some exploration of the Bucky/Nat backstory within the MCU, not least because Sebastian Stan wanted it to happen too!

6. random pet theory about this character that you won't convince me is not true
Bucky knew Nat in the Red Room - it's true in the comics and, in my head, it's true in the MCU too. Sebastian Stan wants it to be true and I'll back him ;) (yes, I tend to be kind of a stuck record on this whole ship thing! lol)

7. a song or piece of music I associate with this character
The only thing I can think of is Rasputin by Boney M but the reason is only because a bunch of people on YouTube made vids of him to that song. It's not that I don't see why they did it, but I don't think I would've made the connection on my own! lol

I'm there with you on the Bucky/Nat thing (although I also ship him with several other people too!). And yes, I truly believe he was there in the red room - it makes so much sense. I can't believe we never even had a hint of it in movie canon.

Jess Mariano?

Jess Mariano - excellent choice :)

1. how I feel about this character
Without question, Jess is my favourite character on Gilmore Girls. He obviously went through so much crap in his life, which absolutely explains the attitude and questionable behaviour that he had, particularly as a teen, but he turned his life around and became a strangely well-adjusted adult. It made me proud of him, even though that's probably weird because he's fictional! lol

2. all the people I ship romantically and/or sexually with this character
Rory, all the way. I ship Rory/Jess (aka Literati) so hard. They absolutely should've been endgame (the actors dated in RL too, for Heaven's sake!) and I'll never understand why they weren't. That said, I have been known to mess around with the idea of Jess/Paris on occasion, because wouldn't that be super-fun? ;)

3. favourite gen relationship(s) for this character
I do love Jess & Luke because they fight so much but also love each other so much, it's kind of beautiful, actually. In fic, I really love when Jess & Lorelai get along too, because I thoroughly believe that they should've been friends, given how much they have in common. I also wrote a trilogy fics once where Jess & Paris became step-siblings and that turned into an awesome gen relationship too. Still, canon-wise, it's got to be Jess & Luke :)

4. my unpopular opinion about this character
I don't know that I really have one...

5. one thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon
That he had ended up with Rory. I can't say 'that he and Rory never broke up' because honestly, I think they had to at that point, but they absolutely should've got back together at some point later on, no question. I have goodness knows how many fanfics that prove just how many ways it could've happened :P

6. random pet theory about this character that you won't convince me is not true
When Jess took Rory's bracelet, it wasn't about stealing something that Dean gave her. He didn't know she got it from Dean and he only took it because he believed it was just a random bracelet. He wanted something of hers to hold on to because he thought it might be the only part of her he ever got to call his own.

7. a song or piece of music I associate with this character
California by Nevershoutnever. Someone made a music video about Jess (and Rory) to this song and I thought it fit so amazingly well. It's so totally Jess at the end of Season 3.

When Jess took Rory's bracelet, it wasn't about stealing something that Dean gave her.
Oh, I totally agree! I think he had a crush and like you said, wanted something of her's. IT probably would've actively put him off to know Dean gave it to her, and it was a shame Lorelai immediately jumped to the worst conclusions when she found him returning it.

I am intrigued by your fic about Jess and Paris becoming step siblings! I will definitely check that out soon.

It ended up being a trilogy, actually. I call it The Kids 'Verse - The Kids Are Alright starts in Season 2 and covers that whole season, If The Kids Are United is Season 3, and then, the Season 4 re-write is called Kids in America, then there are a few random one-shots that fit into it. If you read it, I hope you enjoy it :)
