Note: I decided to include my WIPs (since it's all about first lines and therefore doesn't matter that I haven't reached the last lines yet!) but I've skipped out drabbles/3SFs/etc. (since the first line is half the fic with those sometimes! lol)

Hmm, I can't see much consistency at all with my beginnings. I have both dialogue and prose, long sentences and short, some where the character and setting are clear and others where it could be anyone, anywhere. What does that say about me exactly? :P

Ah, cupcakes, my very favourite thing to bake... though mine don't usually have coloured icing, just chocolate ;) I like to use this icon for posts about baking or someone's birthday because it looks like a celebration :)



Rory/Jess is a major OTP of mine and this icon shows one of my favourite scenes with the two of them, making old all over a snow-covered town square :)



I realised a while ago I needed a Star Wars icon, and since I bounce around between the original and sequel trilogies and different pairings, I needed it to be something that would work for all of that - the Falcon fit the bill :)



This one... I did not make myself. For the life of me, I don't remember who did (which is probably bad, but what can I say? Oops?), but I'm pretty sure this was one of a set someone made me for an iconfest or similar (the others being clouds and sunshine and a rainbow and such). I tend to use this for any posts or fics that are serious, dark, moody, etc.



Ah, my generic 'holidays' icon! I celebrate Christmas myself, but I tend to be non-denominational when I'm posting gifty things in December, plus pretty lights are sooo pretty! :)

I'm not sure if it would be more of less popular if I wrote & posted it now.

Avengers in Babysitting, MCU, various pairings, 2613 hits. Following the Battle of New York, Darcy Lewis is interning at Stark Tower, where all the of Avengers now live. When a mysterious package arrives for Tony, it's Darcy who must deliver it to the latest Avengers meeting in the conference room. Is it a bomb? A gift? A trophy? An AC/DC record? None of the above - it's a baby. Now the Avengers must face their scariest challenge yet - baby-sitting a six month old!
