Day 08 - The pairing with the most baggage?

Hmm, I really had to think about this one, but eventually decided on Mac & Dick

Its a purely fanon pairing, no evidence to suggest they would actually be together really... though he did kinda try to put the moves on her in the penultimate episode of Veronica Mars... anywho, these two are baggage galore!

First off, Mac dated Dick's younger brother, Cassidy, who it turned out had been the victim of a pervert as a child and as a result became first a murderer and then a suicide. Dick was always mean to Cassidy and in turn very unpleasant to Mac when she was dating him, then even seemed to blame her in some way for Cassidy's death after. Add to this the fact that Dick is the son of an absentee mother and an on-the-run tax-evading father, who's best friend was sleeping with his step-mother, AND that Mac was accidentally switched at birth with Madison, who was Dick's girlfriend when she found out the truth, and you have a very messed up pair of people... but then thats probably why I like the fairytale idea of them eventually ending up together and happily ever after! lol

V Mars! I actually just finished re-watching the series again two nights ago or so and this episode is very fresh in my mind. I was very excited to see this on my flist! This is one of those shows that I think deserves so much more acclaim than it got.

As for everything you said, I completely concur. There is *so* much baggage between these two.

I almost never saw VMars at all, since it wasn't aired on a major channel over here and was never released on dvd either. I only got to see it and love it because a Canadian friend of mine sent me Season 1 on dvd for Christmas one year.

Mac & Dick sure do have a whole lot of baggage, but I think they might've made it work somehow if VMars had got a Season 4.

lol, I don't think there is a character on VMars who didn't have a lot of baggage. Veronica and her on-again off-again boyfriend Logan could easily have been my entry for todays question but Mac & Dick had more problems between them in the end!
