[100 Things] My DVD Collection: Her Minor Thing & Not Since You

Two movies I bought entirely for Christian Kane - I wasn't entirely sure I'd like them for any other reason, but I really did.

Her Minor Thing is easily one of my fave ever movies! Jeana is a virgin despite being in her twenties and when her boyfriend accidentally tells the world, her own world gets turned upside down! Christian Kane is Paul, the one guy who doesn't realise she's the subject of the town's drama until its too late. Its a love story as well as morale tale, and I love every twist and turn. The ending has me welling up every time - just beautiful.

Not Since You is more of an ensemble piece. I expected a minor league rom-com, but there was sooo much more to it than that. Serious drama and relationship struggles. The emotions run pretty high at times, but there are laughs too. The whole thing kept me entertained pretty easily.

Thank you, Christian Kane, for being so hot that I'll buy pretty much anything you have a part in. It has led to many a fun time in movie land for me, beyond your hotness. Who'd've thought? ;)

I seriously need a different DVD player...these are R1 DVDs, correct? That totally sucks for me ;).

Oh yeah, now that I think about it, they are. You need to get a multi-region player... or unlock your current player. There are sooo many good movies and TV boxsets that you can't get on Region 2, and everything comes out faster on Region 1, for example, Leverage ;)

I think I'll be aiming for unlocking the current one. We have a DVD recorder and I don't think hubby would approve of me buying a new one just for that. I tried ones, but didn't find our recorder...I think I'll try again! I AM willing to buy the DVDs...

We had to get a special device thing from a rental place online... if I could remmeber where, I'd tell you! There's so much good stuff on Region 1, its entirely worth it.

My icon? I made that for a 20in20 sometime recently. He's so ridiculously cute when he's being nerdy!!! lol

Both of these movies are so good. When I first saw Her Minor Thing when it first came out on DVD, I almost didn't recognize Christian at first, and then I'm like, hey it's Lindsey from Angel. I'm also an NCIS fan and the guy who plays Tony is the other love interest in Her minor thing. I loved Not Since You. The guy that's in the middle box of pictures was in the movie The Mighty Ducks as Fulton Reed, the guy who didn't know his own strength and was a little spotty with goals. There were a lot of other faces that I recognized in this movie as well, talk about a great ensemble cast!

I remember buying Her Minor Thing around the same time I bought See Jane Date, entirely because they both had an Angel connection (Charisma Carpenter is Jane in the other movie). I wasn't a Kaniac so much then, just crazy on all things Whedon and fancying the pants of James Marsters, lol.

Anywho, I LOVE Her Minor Thing, and Not Since You is really not as bad as I thought it might be. I did know a few of the actors in it, more by faces than names. I really need to watch that again sometime...
