I don't watch that many documentaries, though the occasional 'Making Of' featurette holds some interest. These two DVDs are different to anything else I own.
Done the Impossible tells the story of Joss Whedon's Firefly and the follow-up movie Serenity, told entirely by the fans from their POV. It covers the beginnings of the show, its cancellation, the shindigs and conventions held in its honour, and how the movie Serenity came to be made.
Its insightful and interesting, with some wonderful and hilarious filk and stories, all of which reminds me why I'm proud to be a Browncoat.
As for Look, Up In the Sky - this is the story of Superman, told by just about everyone involved! The tale shows the evolution on the Man of Steel, from a much different character in the comic books, through various movies, cartoons, and TV shows, including Lois & Clark and Smallville.
I had no idea how much Superman had changed or how many incarnations there had been. I grew up on L&C and Smallville and it was all I knew for a long time, until I went back and watched the Chris Reeve movies.
Basically, what we have here is the evolution of a TV show and subsequent movie, and the evolution of a well-known and much-loved hero character - I thoroughly enjoy them both.
