[100 Things] My DVD Collection: 10 Things I Hate About You & Drive Me Crazy

Ah, the 90s teen flick. I know we're not supposed to love them, but you know we all do!

Heather Ledger and Julia Stiles were magnificient, whether fighting or making out in 10 Things I Hate About You. Though its based on a Shakespeare play (Taming of the Shrew) and some of the language and names are outlandish to accomodate, this movie is equal parts hilarious, adorable, dramatic, and fun, plus the soundtrack completey rocks.

And whilst Patrick Verona was trying to seduce the tempetuous Katarina Stratford, first for the love of money and later for the love of the girl, ex-BFFs Nicole and Chase (Melissa Joan Hart and Adrian Grenier) are playing at coupledom, despite hating each other now, to win their respective loves through jealousy, in Drive Me Crazy.

Love/hate relationships are one of my favourite things in a movie! The passion is always running high, whether these two couples are screaming at each other or snogging each others faces off! lol

Both movies have excellent soundtracks too, which really makes a difference for me, and even over 12 years later, I can quite happily watch these movies over and over.

Ha, I was literally just thinking about watching one of these yesterday (mum settled on Miss Congeniality instead) - they're both next to each other in one of my DVD wallets. (Yeah, big problem of uni and my massive film collection is I've had to put most of it in wallets because I ran out of space.) <3

Ooh, Miss Congeniality is likely to be in a later entry - I love that movie, didn't much care for the sequel though...

Me and my Mum watched 10 Things on Saturday :) Its been so long, I forgot how much I loved it. Probably the first time I watched it since Heath Ledger died - that was kinda sad to think about :(

Loved 10 Things I Hate About You. Haven't seen Drive Me Crazy, but I think I'll add that to my need to watch list. I have to agree with you, soundtracks in a movie can sometimes make it or break it for me.

Defo add it to that list, mate! It was one of my fave movies when I first got the video (yep, it was so long ago, I had the VHS tape first! lol).

I have soooo many soundtrack CDs, its not even funny. In fact, sometimes I end up liking the soundtrack more the movie, e.g. Freaky Friday.

Haha! I'm so old school, I've got 10 Things on video. I really need to upgrade, because I adore that film SO MUCH.

I remember seeing Drive Me Crazy, and quite liking it, but I don't remember much about it at all.
