Lyrically speaking...
May. 26th, 2019 10:48 amI realised the other day that when I listen to music, I don't just have favourite artists, favourite albums, or even favourite songs, I have very specific favourite lyrics, certain lines that I feel strongly about, because they really say something or they just evoke an image in my head. There's quite a lot of them when I think about it, so I did think about it, and here's the list I came up with... so far.
"There's a shopping cart in the ravine, the foam on the creek looks like pop and ice-cream."
"I'm gonna hit the highway like a battering-ram on a silver-black phantom bike."
"Give me a second, I need to get my story straight, my friends are in the bathroom getting higher than the Empire State."
"Life's like a box of matches, sometimes the whole thing catches, and all you can do is watch it burn."
"We were shining like Aurora Borealis."
"I don't wanna touch you too much, baby, 'cause making love to you might drive me crazy."
"Life's a journey, not a destination, and I just can't tell just what tomorrow brings."
