He wanted to whisper in her ear that he was sorry — sorry he hadn’t been here, sorry he couldn’t save her, sorry he had been too scared before all of this happened. If he had just been braver, a man who faced death every day it sometimes seemed, but if he had been braver, maybe none of this would have happened.
(This one's a post-Endgame AU with Sleeping Beauty elements and it's sooooo sweet!)
Obviously, I'm not allowed to talk about what I wrote myself yet, because author reveals aren't for a week yet, but I did have a blast writing it, so that was a plus too :)
