[100 Things] My DVD Collection: Saved By The Bell & California Dreams

Here we have two pieces of my childhood. Technically I think both SBTB and CD were meant for teens, but I started watching them in Summer Holiday re-runs at about age 9.

First I fell for Zach Morris as he terrorised Bayside High in the funniest ways possible, then I fell harder for Jake Sommers, the leather-clad new guitarist that joined the band called California Dreams.

The comedy was funny then, some of its a little lame now, almost 20 years on, but I still enjoy the characters and the moral little stories that might even have taught me something all those years ago.

Its all harmless fun, and these were (as far as I know) the originals and best that went on to spawn SBTB The New Class, Hang Time, USA High, One World, Malibu CA, and a squillion other shows that could never be as cool as these two.

OK. You are officially smarter than me. When I was 9 I was watching Gummi Bears lol

These two look fun! :D

Oh these two shows bring back so many memories. Loved Zach and all the gang from Saved By the Bell. Loved California dreams as well. I think the station that I watched these two shows on would air them back to back. I still catch the occasional Saved By the Bell re-run when it airs(Thank you TBS.) Looking forward to seeing what's next in your DVD collection!
