Sometimes, like today, sitting beside him on the bridge, she wonders if it’s all worth it; if she really did make the wrong choice.
Her mom thinks so; sometimes, Lane does too, and maybe Luke, but she’s not sure.
There are times she wonders if even Jess now thinks it’s all a bad idea.
Then a moment, where she looks at him, and though all his attention is on his book, one hand shifts over to take hold of hers.
Their fingers intertwine. A perfect fit.
His hand and hers. Her heart and his.
Rory smiles and doesn’t wonder anymore.
